Roberta BeachRoberta Beach, President
Roberta is President of Beach List Direct, Inc. She serves as the main client and strategic partner for all list brokerage accounts with enthusiasm, creativity and energy.

Before starting Beach List Direct, Inc. with Clay Beach, Roberta had already built a resume of executive sales and marketing experience. After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from Smith College in 1983, Roberta joined a market research firm in Memphis, TN, serving two years as a Research Assistant to the owner. She then established the Research Division of Haas Publishing Company (now HPC Publications, Norcross, GA), serving as Research Director, then moved into sales management as Publisher of the company's first Chicago apartment guide.

After completing her MBA in Marketing at University of Chicago, she joined R. R. Donnelley & Sons in the Catalog and Tabloid Printing Division, serving the Lands' End and Spiegel accounts. She was the first printing executive to complete training at Donnelley's newest acquisition Metromail, where she learned the list business. She marketed Metromail's New Baby Database to Mervyn's and Macy's when Donnelley moved her into their Retail Division in the San Francisco Bay area.

In 1994 she left Donnelley and started Beach List Direct, Inc. after a brief time as Commercial Sales Manager for list manager Robertson Mailing List Company.

Clay BeachClay Beach, Managing Director
Clay Beach, Managing Director of Beach List Direct Inc., provides our clients with campaign planning and marketing solutions. He covers our full range of expertise spanning from direct mail design, production, and mailing lists to online marketing, campaign analysis and management.

Clay has over 25 years of marketing, sales and product management experience in the direct mail industry. His strong analytical and data services background further enhances this expertise.

Clay graduated from the University of Chicago where he was first introduced to direct mail and statistical survey analysis. His first position as a Marketing Manager with Design Consultants, a leading corporate identity development agency, laid the groundwork for his entrance into direct marketing. Clay managed and developed direct mail programs for clients such as Pioneer Hi-Bred Seed, Kerr/Sybron, and Hammond Frozen Meats.

Clay joined Ashland Products Company in Chicago as Database Marketing Manager. In this position Clay developed, built and grew the company’s business-to-business direct marketing program. This solidified his expertise as a successful database marketer since the mid 1980s.

Prior to starting Beach List Direct in 1994, Clay was Senior Account Executive for SRA (Science Research Associates), a subsidiary of IBM at the time. He managed the Silicon Valley sales region of Fortune 500 companies providing IBM mainframe installations. Clay's primary account was Citibank in Concord, CA.

In addition to his hard work and dedication at BLDI, Clay donates his time and list management expertise to help raise awareness and money to find a cure for Diabetes. He is a Father’s Day Council Member of the Middle Tennessee American Diabetes Association.

Clay also has assisted former Vice President Al Gore with The Climate Project, an initiative to train thousands of individuals to present Mr. Gore's slide show on global warming. Through the services of BLDI, Clay provided The Climate Project with their initial web presence, and their web interface to handle candidate applications and database management.

Landon ElmoreLandon Elmore, Creative Director
Landon provides integrated creative direction, design, technical strategy, project management and account supervision for Direct Mail Design and Production, website design and online marketing efforts, including Email communications and Search Engine Marketing. Landon is a highly organized team player with honed management skills and a keen eye for budgets and deadlines.

A seasoned marketing communications designer with a proven track record of innovation, quality execution and efficient project management, Landon has also developed a thorough understanding of Internet branding and web-based marketing programs through his experiences helping clients enhance their revenues and produce a measurable ROI for Internet-based initiatives.

Landon graduated Cum Laude from the School of Design at North Carolina State University, with roots in traditional graphic design, Landon has been a leading new media producer since establishing his studio in San Francisco, CA, the center of the digital media revolution, in the early 1990s and has the ability to transform challenging concepts into practical reality with his unique combination of talents and experience. His high level design and illustrative capabilities are complemented by deep technical knowledge and programming skills, and solid business experience.

Michael Gosney, Conscious Consumer Marketing Director
Michael is a marketing consultant, media and event producer and publisher whose many projects and events have contributed to forward-thinking social and environmental movements since the mid-1980s. Gosney co-founded the Green Century Institute in 2002 in San Francisco, which is focused on green architecture and sustainable communities. He is on the Steering Committee of the Environmental Non-Profit Network formed by Craig’s List Foundation, and has served as a director on the board of Paolo Soleri's Cosanti Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona since 1995.
